Eden are specialists in providing treatment for teenage girls, aged 12-18, who have suffered Complex Trauma due to Sexual and Physical abuse and neglect.
Our residential home in Kibbutz Camiya in the Northern Negev in Israel is a therapeutic framework which help the girls in finding the inner strengths to create the life they want for themselves, despite the traumatic events in their past.
Our trained and permanent staff is trauma oriented, understanding that our girls need to create meaningful relationships with positive role models in order to thrive and overcome their difficulties.
It is therefore essential to provide the girls with a safe and non-judgemental space where they can focus on their therapeutic process.
In Eden we deeply believe the girls' story and that they are capable and worthy of living the life they want for themselves.
We achieve this by raising the girls' awareness to the social context of their trauma, encouraging the girls to talk openly about their trauma while not feeling ashamed, and advocate against sexual violence. This what makes our model singular in the field of sexual trauma treatment for teenage girls in Israel.
In Eden's Residential home, we provide our girls with everything they need in order to get their lives back on track: group and individual therapy sessions; an educational framework that helps the girls close academic gaps caused by their trauma; after school enrichment activities; life and work skills advancement.
Our residential home implements elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) an evidence based practise which includes practical skills that help the girls manage their CPTSD symptoms. This practise focuses on: Emotion Regulation, Mindfulness, Distress tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Since its establishment in 2005, almost 900 girls have graduated from Eden and started a new chapter in their lives as strong and independent women.
