A feminist empowering model, which offers a practice for therapeutic work with girls and women suffering from Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The model was developed by Eden's CEO and staff, based on 20 years of field experience, working with girls and teenagers, at the end of the therapeutic spectrum. Eden's Therapy model roots lie in feminist therapy, and combines Motivational Interviewing and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
Underlying the model is a feminist worldview, pointing out the social context of gender oppression, at the basis of each girl and woman's personal story. Our model reframes their self-perception and helps girls and women create a life worth living.
The model has proved itself to be successful in cultivating emotional stability, reducing risk behaviors, rebuilding self-worth, and motivating women and girls to create the life they want for themselves.
The entire organization's staff is skilled and trained to accomplish this professional work. They are highly introspective, have critical and dialectic thinking skills, and a deep belief in the girls and women's power to change their lives.
